I've noticed the UK government have now started a nationwide radio ad campaign, informing people about when this alert system is going to be tested (3:00 pm on Sunday 23rd April) & what it will sound like! It says you will not need to take any action, which is incorrect, as you have to take the action of acknowledging the alert, to be able to use your phone for normal activities.

Some clever phone hacker needs to work out how to uninstall the whole thing. Settings can be turned on and off remotely I'm sure.

Also updates have already sent to phone that resets those settings.

Turning off the settings wont stop you getting the message the app is running in the background all the time.
